Frequently Asked Questions
What happens when someone scans an Email QR code?
When scanned with an iPhone or Android camera, a prompt appears to open the default email app (such as Apple Mail or Gmail). Tapping it opens a new draft with the recipient address, subject, and message already populated.
Does the email send automatically when scanned?
No. For security and privacy, the user’s mail app opens with the draft filled out, but the user must tap the "Send" button to dispatch the email. This allows them to review or add extra details.
Are email addresses entered here private?
Yes! All QR code generation is performed 100% locally in your browser. We never track, store, or forward any email addresses entered on our platform.
What if I only want to encode the recipient email without a subject?
You can leave the Subject and Message Body fields empty. The generated QR code will simply format as "mailto:user@domain.com" and open a blank compose window.
